Museum of Antiquities and
Folklore
This museum lies on Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdul
Aziz Street. It comprises two
sections, the first section contains a group of antiquities displayed in a
way to reflect historical stories and the other is concerned with the
folklore. There, we find
collections of rare male and female dresses, some old weapons such as rifles,
swords, daggers in addition to utensils made of clay and ceramic, which were
in use in the past as well as rare mail stamps.
The tent captures the attention of visitors by its
traditional style that takes us back to the simple life of our
ancestors. There is also a model
representing old Musmak Palace from which the Kingdom has started its
march. There are also Quranic
verses and Islamic engravings that capture the attention.
