Riyadh
athletic club was found in 1373H under the name of Al-Ahli. Then its name was changed to
Yamamah in 1389H. Finally, the
name was changed to Riyadh.

club reached the final match of the Crown Prince Cup in 1415H and lost
against Al-Helal 0-1.

Here
we can mention a galaxy of famous footballers as an example such as Mubark
Abdul Kareim, the first captain of the Saudi national team, Abdulrahman Al
Mouzan, the well-known referee, Rashed Al-Mutraf, Zaid Al-mutraf, Hamed
Naghadi, Mubark Nasser, Nasser Al-Doussari (Soduos), Fahad Al-Hamdan, Telal
Jabrain as well as other players.
The club also contains stars of table tennis such as Raid Al-Hamdan
who has been champion of the Arab for many years. At the level of basketball activity, we can mention
Khaled Al-Samari, Khaled Al-Mahaya, Mohammed Khair Allah and Khaled
Al-Moshan.
