The network of
Sewerage System in Riyadh covers about 36% of the total area of the city and
about 56% of the city population benefit from it. The total length of this
network in 1419H was 2,225 km and its diameters range between 220 to 2,900
millimeter. The number of users of sewerage service in Riyadh City for the
year 1419H, reached 157,299 users. Culverts are used in locations which are
not covered by the sewerage system. One of the most important projects for
the year 1419H, in sewerage services is that of replacing the lines of
sewerage in Riyadh at a cost of 20 million riyals. There are the projects of
establishing sewerage networks, in Al Aziziya, King Fahd, Mahmudiya, Masef,
Faisaliah, Oraija, Zahrat Al-Badea, Khalidiyah, Jareer, Farouk, post of
Riyadh quarters (districts) and part of Mouther and Um al- Hamam quarters
with a cost estimated to 508 million Riyals.
