The number of acting Corporations in the
area of trade and service in Riyadh-City are estimated of more than 50,000.
These corporations provide whole and retail sales and involve many of the
commercial centers and about 400 facilities for providing professional
services in the areas of law, accounting, administration, engineering,
architecture, information technology, information services as well as other
consultations. In addition to this, main eleven centers of banks, whose
assets exceeded SR 290,000,000,000. These centers provide complete services
to the city population as well as the visitors.
According to statistics of the Ministry of
Commerce for the year 1416H (1995), the number of the registered Companies in
Riyadh office has reached 3,252 firms, that include 2,314 companies of
limited liability. This number represents 71.12% of the total number of the
registered companies in addition to 669 joint ventures represent 20.6% of the
total number of the registered companies in Riyadh. Furthermore, there are
226 limited partnership companies representing 9.6% of the total number of
the companies registered in Riyadh in addition to 43 limited companies
represent 1.3% of the total number of the companies registered in Riyadh
which represent 37.4% of the total number of the companies at the level of
the entire area of the Kingdom.
The Commercial
register number of firms and corporations in Riyadh has hit 1,117,656 with an
increase of 83% and the rest percentage (17%) represents the canceled registers.
The city also contains remarkable number of firms and support services
companies such as maintenance, printing, shipping, navigation, storage, and
supplying as well as other requirement of the productive sector.
